Picture this:

A cool love story from two different parts of India coming together for a grand wedding celebration. It’s like a Bollywood movie, but in real life! Remember the Bollywood movie 2 states by Chetan Bhagat… You know right! Of course, you do! and this love story is just like that! So, without a further ado, Let’s begin our story of 2 states captured by the House of Studio Memory Lane.

BACKGROUND…

“So, from the northern corner of India, we have Navrajpreet Kaur Sandhu, a Punjabi girl from Punjab. And from the southern part of the country, we have our hero Rishi Sujith Kumar from Kerala.”

Also, another fun fact- Rishi is our dashing pilot and Navraj is our sweetest cabin crew of this love story

And TBH, he never wanted a Punjabi girl for his marriage and she never wanted to date someone whose culture was so different, like poles apart… but OH MY GOODNESS! FATE played its game and they ended up together.

HOW IT ALL STARTED…

Once upon a time, two souls existed, unaware to each other’s existence. Navraj, an introvert, and a Punjabi left her home for her bright future in 2018, found herself in a society where a certain guy called Rishi and his friends living the best social dream since 2016 in Hyderabad.

Rishi was a charming man who had his demand for being the life of the party. Totally opposites, isn’t it?

But wait! How these guys met?? They were not even in the same city.

Fast Forward to 2019, our lovely Navraj posted to Hyderabad in march, joining the same society as Rishi. Yet their paths never crossed. ‘Rishi’ remained just a name in the background while our introvert remained an introvert.

FINDING FLAT TO FIRST MEETING…

Then, covid occurred. Her friends shifted out of Hyderabad and her base transfer was in the pipeline. Navraj had to find a new flat to stay temporarily.

That’s when the unexpected twist happened: One of her new flat matés, was a friend of Rishi. And that was a surprise to her!

Hence, a casual introduction occurred in July 2020, which marked their first interaction.

SOMETHING’S COOKING ON SIMMER…

Enter Rishi, a handsome lad who had caught our Navraj’s eye right from the start. Their initial interaction was brief yet paved the way for an Instagram connection. Slowly but surely, they began spending more time together, driven by their mutual interests.

Rishi, the movie buff, introduced Navraj to the world of films and series. As time passed, their bond deepened, naturally. Their friendship was blossoming, but nobody dropped any formal proposal.

NO PROPOSAL, NO CAKES, NO FLOWERS THEN HOW THINGS WENT…

It was an unspoken understanding, their shared experiences making it clear that they were meant to be.

Of course, their journey wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. They faced their share of ups and downs which in the end only strengthen their relationship.

Such as HER FIRST KAYAKING IN GOA was the trip, they both enjoyed.

Rishi being an open book with his family, made them aware of their relationship. It was Navraj who had to talk about it with her family.

So, in the evening when she was having chill with her family, she mentioned about her being in a relationship.

To her surprise, her family’s reaction was surprisingly positive and they were so okay with it which was shocking to her. They had known Rishi as a close friend, and his family background was so clean that they met their approval.

NOW ITS TIME FOR A FORMAL FAMILY MEETING…

Their families eventually connected through a video call and Roka ceremony was finalized.

In November their parents met, and wedding preparations began. After three years of knowing each other, they are now a married couple.

THEIR FIRSTS …

For the very first time, she celebrated his birthday in 2020.

She gifted him a photo collage of him and his brother which turned out beautiful. Rishi is closest to his brother he is like a kid to him.

His First Gift for her:

And on her birthday, he gifted her a blanket all the way from USA based brand which is used by celebrities. It was so cute and funny at the same time because she was someone who is always shivering and sneezing as her, tolerance for cold is zero.

Their first date 14th Feb 2021:

They went for a Starbucks and surprisingly they don’t have any photos of that date but what they have is a coffee date for lifetime.

A WELCOME HOME!

After his birthday and Just before their wedding they got their home!

In Mangalore, on friend’s wedding, they both & some friends hit one of the beaches. Given it was her first-time swimming at the beach, watching her face light up is one of his happiest memories. Even teaching her to swim, turned into a humorous experience. Her initial reluctance vanished into sheer excitement mixed with her trademark silliness, leaving those moments to be remembered.

NOW TIME FOR SOME ADDITIONAL JUICY TIDBITS:

As we all know, she’s a Jatta di Kudi and he is from Kerala. Hence, their wedding was a unique blend of two states, with two different ceremonies- One in Gurudwara sahib and other embracing Rishi’s Kerala culture, all in one and on the same magical day. So, this was all about 2 states captured by the House of Studio Memory Lane.

A MESSAGE TO HER LOVE FROM RISHI

Navraj, a unique blend of youth and maturity, impressed him with her elegance and sensibility. Her attention to detail brought harmony to his routine. Her traits like kindness strengthened our bond. From joyful beach moments to facing challenges, transparent communication forms the foundation of our resilient relationship.

So, there you have it, a love story that defied cultural differences and blossomed in most unexpected way.

Two people bought together by fate, found love and companionship in the chaos of life. Cheers to our modern-day fairy tale cum love story.
